Farm-to-table is a phrase that can mean different things to different people.
At its heart, farm-to-table means that the food on the table came directly from farms, without going through a store, market, or distributor along the way. Greatly reduces the energy used in transportation and also keeps the food fresh.
Some restaurants may even operate their own indoor garden to grow fresh herbs, scallions, microgreens and chilli peppers. Keep an eye out for these restaurants as their ingredients are often freshly organic and much tastier!
